Despite the cold, decided to anchor out on Wye River. Woke up to the boat covered in 1000000s of dead mayflies. Then proceeded to get covered in mud while hauling anchor. It was freezing, blustery, choppy, 25 knots sustained in the nose with gusts to 35... but tucked into a nice protected cove! And had a peaceful sleep. Luckily it was so cold, every port was closed or we would have be infested with mayflies in the cabin. Still better than work!

I guess this will go down as the biggest power boat ever! I got to fly out to the USS George Bush 80 miles off the coast of VA. Landed on the carrier and spent the night. Watched F-18s take off and land, ate with all tanks of sailors, and experience life in the Navy. The next day catapulted off the deck in the C-2 back to Norfolk. So incredible.
