Yacht Club of Cape St Claire Friday night race - singlehand, ran honor start for race as committee, light wind, ran screacher as jib and was making very good way, retired during first leg to shorten course for rest of fleet and to anchor and act as finish line for rest of boats as the wind was too light for them to make fiirst mark.*
Century Club: Keith Chapman
With Greg, left work early, sailed upwind to Rock Hall then next tack above Potapsco, set spinnaker for ride home. Great sail, really great sky for sunset, wind dropped a lot for ride home so not the sled ride hoped for.
On Greg's boat for Yacht Club of Cape St Claire Friday night race committee.
Before work, out to other side of Magothy, up Cape St Claire shore, back to Little Magothy for short tour, met someone rowing on Alden Star
Before work. Out past Little Magothy inlet buoys, back for LM tour. GoPro. Sunrise a brownish red color from the smoke from the West Coast fires.
Out to end of inlet channel, Little Magothy tour, swell practice afterwards
* Second trip on same day, so set # of days to 0 for this one.
Took out of borrowed slip after trailer repairs. Ride to explore behind Gibson Island. Fished there (white perch) and at Magothy inlet. Picked up daughter from beach (fished while waiting, white perch), went past Podickory, then back to head of Magothy for sunset. Saw Russ on C-36 Sarah Kate twice.
Trailer repairs - replaced rollers and axles and rusted support bolts. Freed up winch latch. Sourced new bunks, but just replaced rusted brackets for now.
Yacht Club of Cape St Claire Friday night race - singlehand, afterwards sailed in river then out to Bay, Greg also, did loop around Baltimore Light as got dark. Wind mid from NE, lumpy in Bay but nice sail, 10 knots.
