Early morning on the South River paddling out around Farm Park - the river was dead calm and peacefulas the red ball of the sun rose over the eastern shore. Passed a big blue heron on the beach, tall and still as a reed.

Evening paddle and meal at Annapolis SUP on Back Creek sponsored by Naptown Scoop.
Pleasant one hour morning paddle on the South River, putting in at the Loch Haven Beach and Overlook before returning to the pier.
Early morning paddle on the South River. Fairly strong wind from the N-NW created some big rollers that made for a bumpy ride.
I left the Loch Haven marina just before 6:00 as the sun rose over a low-lying bank of clouds in the east and paddled up the South River into Pocohontas Creek and then up Brewer Creek to the culvert on Loch Haven Boulevard. I saw what I belive to be an alligator in Brewer Creek - at first I took it for a floating piece of wood but it dived when I approached and I'm convinced I saw a body and tail. I waited quietly and it soon surfaced but submerged again when I tried to approach. An alligator was spotted off the South River as much as a decade ago and an 8 foot long alligator was killed in Chesapeake Beach just last month, so it is very possible that what I saw really was a 'gator.
Sailed aboard Annapolis Maritime Museum's skipjack Wilma Lee.
