Hot and sunny at 7am. Rays and sea nettles were about, but still not rocks.
Century Club: Ben Clark
Cruised the river, but had to curtail the fun because many folks are taking today off and making it a long weekend. I'm getting skunked by the fish.
Typical weekend thrills getting on and off the boatlift.
They burned down the gambling house.
It died with an awful sound.
I am hungry for a candy bar.
Think I'll eat a Mounds.
Academy rowing and sailing camps seem to be well underweigh, as is the construction of the new sea wall at the academy. I covered every practical shore of the Spa Creek. Few interesting visitors. Motored back against strong headwinds.
Big storm popped up over parole right after noon, and I didn't notice it until I was halfway out in the river. So I had to aquaboogie back to port.
Had to wait until after dinner for the weekenders to clear off. Hooked a big ray on the first cast right off the dock, and caught it for about ten minutes before retrieving the lure.
Sposed to be messy this afternoon, so I headed out in the am. Hooked into another ray, but the line parted.
Bounced up to the bridge, and back down. Went out after dinner cuz the thunder storms would not quit.
