Annapolis CBIBs showed 9kts at 05:48 this morning but when I got to the beach it was blowing 13+ so I went down the creek instead. Despite it being more sheltered, and having switched to neoprene gloves, my fingers got cold pretty quickly so I turned around near the St. Luke's basin where Eidelon and Blinding Furry hang out.

Smooth, calm, uneventful. Saw some seagulls but the ducks weren't even awake yet.

A lovely flat morning. Still the sailboat sleeping with her running lights on. Other than that I was out with seagulls, cormorants, and a few ribbons of ducks heading to Back Creek and Eastport.

Quite a drizzly foggy morning. I was out there with the ducks and seagulls, and still that sailboat anchored with her running lights going. There was not significant wind but a flood tide that tripped me up a little bit, or at least made me have to concentrate.

It was colder than Tuesday but less wind so no frosty fingers this morning. There was one intrepid sailboat anchored (with running lights on, tsk) in the Horn Point anchorage. I saw a couple of seagulls overhead, some Mallards in Back Creek by the beach, and twenty to thirty Black ducks floating at the mouth of the creek.

After returning to the beach there was a lot of activity. There is a geothermal project planned for next door and in order to accomodate the traffic the Museum is temporarily moving one of their boats to allow access through the fence.

Though it was windy out there was almost no wave action on the Severn. However the wind chill was really getting to my exposed fingers so I was out less than twenty minutes.

Okay, that was overly dramatic. No hail until I was putting the boat back up on the roof. But pretty close to frostbite on my fingers.

The usual gulls and ducks, but I did see some migrating ducks in the air.

What a beautiful morning. Frost on the ground and the windshields. Light breeze blowing out of Back Creek and the water was barely moving. Seaguls overhead and the entire Severn dotted with black ducks in small rafts and singles.

About 34 Farenheit with winds coming out of Back Creek. I saw several low flocks of migrating birds, black ducks I think. Some of them flew right overhead.

Cold feet, and bad grip on the oars with smooth gloves on under my fingerless rowing gloves.

It was a bit sporty in the Bay and the Severn this morning so I rowed up the creek for the first time in a while. Those posts up in the shallows without markers on them sure blend into the woods in back of them. I dodged one of them then ran straight into the second a full speed. Sophie is okay except the first couple of inches of the rub rail is a little shattered.

I saw a flock of 500 ducks in Vs heading south and just a couple of gulls other than that.
