Century Club: David Sites
Today a Buddy of mine (Ted) that owns the WWII P-520 Crash Boat called me to let me know that he was taking the boat to the Kent Island Yacht Club. He had left Cambridge and was passing Poplar Island and was going to go up the Eastern Bay. I jumped into the boat and headed that way, hoping to catch up with him near Bloody Point. I checked his location when I passed by Bloody Point and saw that he was up in the Eastern Bay already. I caught up to him about halfway up the Bay and started shooting photos.
I took a bunch of photos from a lot of different angles as the sun popped out and the lighting was just right. I went ahead of them to Kent Narrows and took some fun photos there. I documented their arrival to the Narrows and their docking at the Yacht Club.
After some conversations with Ted and a couple of other people, I moved on up through the Narrows and passed by Red Eyes.
I went up and rounded Love Point, and headed South towards the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. I stopped by the Sandy Point Lighthouse for a few photos and continued past the Bridge to the Annapolis anchorage area. I stopped to get some photos of some Ships and just happened to see Dianne Sullivan there. After some conversation with Dianne, I headed to the Thomas Point Lighthouse for the sunset. When I finished up at the Lighthouse, I headed back to the South River, which completed my circumnavigation of Kent Island. It was a really fun ride.
