It rained pretty much all day, I was hoping that it would stop by the time I got home from work. It never really stopped so I jumped into the Beneteau and checked out a couple of creeks in the rain.

One of my Favorite Days of the year. Everyone gets excited when the Blue Angels come to town, it’s like an Annapolis holiday. Once again, there were hundreds of boats anchored out on the Severn River and the Blue Angels definitely did not disappoint.

I got a bit of a late start this evening but went out to the Bay anyway. The Bay was a little rough so after getting a few photos at the Thomas Point Lighthouse, I made my way back down the River. I discovered a new Great Blue Heron nest I didn’t know of.

Today I took a ride over to Annapolis. I rode by the City Dock and took a ride down Spa Creek. The sunset was pretty cool. It was a very nice evening on the water.

Today I went out to the TP Lighthouse to get some pictures of an awesome Volunteer Crew that spent the Day freshening Her up. There was a Sailboat race passing by too. It was a Beautiful Day.

What a Day…

The morning started out with a beautiful sunrise. As the day went on, heavy storms blew through the area. The sun came out as the storm came through and created some cool rainbows. On the way to the Bay, I helped a Buddy reposition his sailboat that dragged anchor in the storm. I went out to the Thomas Point lighthouse to take some photos at sunset. To my surprise when I arrived at the Lighthouse, one of my favorite vessels pulled up, it was none other than Jimmy Buffett's boat, the LAST MANGO. I took a bunch of photos of the boat and shared some of them with the group that had chartered the boat. I ended the evening with some nice sunset shots of the Thomas Point Lighthouse.

The Bay was super calm this evening. I made my rounds on the Bay then went to Annapolis. I had an issue with my boat and took it to my mechanic. My Buddy gave me a ride home from the Marina.

It was still overcast this evening but I headed out to the Bay. They have begun building the new dock on the Thomas Point Lighthouse. I went over to the Ship anchorage a saw a Ship loaded down with wind turbine blades. I saw a Friend at the Lighthouse.

It was overcast and rainy all day. I went out on the boat for an hour between storms and stayed in the River and Creeks. I stayed dry (for the most part).

A full Day of Sailing…

What a great Day. I was invited to Sail from Annapolis to Baltimore on the amazing PRIDE OF BALTIMORE II Schooner. We left Annapolis in light wind which gradually built up as the Day went on. Laura and a few friends were aboard also. The Crew was great and it was just an awesome experience. They let me take the wheel for a while and even let me climb out on the Bowsprit. 
  After we returned to Annapolis, we boarded the Schooner WOODWIND for a sunset sail. We topped off the Day with dinner at the BOATYARD BAR AND GRILL, where we saw the framed copy of the PropTalk cover with me on it, next to the SpinSheet plaque. 
A full day of boating for sure.
