Took the paddle board out for a sheltered paddle on Assawoman canal. 95F, sunny, with winds 16 mph from the SSW at time of launch (2:30 pm). My friend the Great Blue Heron was in his typical spot. Saw a couple of jellyfish and several juvenile blu crabs on the surface of the water.

With winds 7 mph out of the NE at time of launch (4:45pm). Always regret not having my phone with me to capture pictures of the Great Blue Heron(s). Snapped a picture of one upon my return to the car.

Took the Grady up the Severn to avoid boat traffic and stopped across from Indian Landing. Beautiful morning, 68F, sunny, with winds 7 mph from the SE at time of departure (9:15 am). Virtually no boat traffic north of the 6 knot marker off Colchester. Great opportunity to catch up with a friend before Blue Angels began their practice.
