Took a fascinating tour of Poplar Island this morning followed by lunch in St Michael's.  Boarded the vessel Terrapin docked on Tilghman Island at 9:00am.  Our skipper and tour guide Lisa, from the Maryland Environmental Service, took us through Knapps Narrows and approx. 1 mile over to the dock on Poplar Island.  A tour (by bus) of all the great restoration work ongoing at the island lasted until 12 noon.
