I launched from the beach.  I didn't know it at the time but there aren't supposed to be anyone on the lake this time of year.  I am such a rebel.  Saw turtles, ducks, geese, kingfisher and a Great Blue Heron.

Today was the first day I used my inflatable kayak.  It did not take long to get ready.  I was nervous about being in an inflatable boat, so I hugged the shoreline.  Everything worked well and it was terrific being on the water in January!
