Navigation exercises in the lower Bay. Saw some beauties on the water today.
Slow day on patrol. Checked some fisherman, but mostly just enjoyed a day underway.
Quick jaunt over to Cape Charles to blow the skirt off of 111 and then jump in the SeaArk to check out the water connection between the Chesapeake Bay to the ICW via the Lynnhaven River and West Neck Creek.
Slow day on patrol. There are a lot of new boats moored up awaiting November 1st. Wish I was among them at the end of hurricane season.
Today I completed the training evolution, Neptune. Basically a nav run into the North Atlantic. Always fun to go offshore to see the clear water.
Completed the training run,The Kraken. This one was a 40 mile, 5 hour nav run of all the Lynnhaven waters.
Unfortunately jacket weather is upon us, boo! At the end of the shift I had to go down to North Carolina into the Currituck Sound to rescue a boater in distress. I'm a hero!
Pleasant day on patrol despite the clouds and the NE winds. Solved some crime and got to see some great boats. Had a new member of the unit onboard for some underway training.
Absolutely gorgeous fall day on the Southern Bay. Tons of boats on the water enjoying the mild temps and favorable winds. Even got some fishing in.
