Another busy day out on the water. Over the past several days, we have seen a lot of Navy ships deploy. Today we observed a submarine deploy without it's usually escort, telling me it was a planned deployment. Checked on the other woman today.
Century Club: Billy Hannigan
Busiest day on the water this year so far. Between the regular Saturday revelers, the Cobia Tournament and the Tuna Tournament, it was crazy.
All in weekends, so I had to come in on my day off. Alot of people on the water, must be the 4 day weekend.
Had a great offshore shoot in the Whiskey 50 Range. Had plenty of time to make it home to the beach and watch the Wednesday racers.
Launched boats and then went on patrol. Today was taco Tuesday so of course we ate at Longboards. Ended the day with a membership meeting of Broad Bay Sailing Association.
Impending doom and gloom kept most boaters at bay today. Took the lull to pull 507 for PM and my window fell outta my truck.
Had a great sail on the Bay today until the storms pushed us off the water.
Did some work on Lil Pressure's motor and took her out for a spin. 12.5 knots on 6 hp, not to shabby.
Started the day off with our auxiliaries, training them in the pool with some new gear. After the pool, headed back to ICW to use sonar to find and mark a motorcycle that failed stop at a dead end. The bike was found almost 100' from shore.
Got some time patrolling the ICW today. Still a lot of boaters heading north. Also pulled an absolutely massive timber pile from the water, 35'. It was brand new, some contractor gonna be pissed.
