A ride today on my brother's boat to keep her tuned up. Happily cruised Warehouse Creek and South River today.... Beautiful houses to admire, and pretty, flat water in the creek.

With gale force winds on the Chespeake Bay + strong wind chill factor, still had a great ride with David Sites during the golden hour tonight! We cruised Broad Creek, South River + Church Creek, finding a little shelter from the conditions........

An early morning boat ride that was tricky due to super low water (only 1.9 feet at my pier) and it was blustery out on the Bay.

A fantastic experience - 2 of us took a Summit 54 ft motor yacht down the Chesapeake Bay and the intracoastal (my first time on the ICW) to South Carolina. Stopped at a bunch of lovely places, learned a lot, had fun and took a million pics.

Today was absolute PERFECTION! I have completed a personal goal today and did it, as a sailor at heart, on the Schooner Woodwind for her last day of the 2025 season, AND we sailed in glorious conditions to Thomas Point Lighthouse!! YES! :-)

I set myself the personal goal this year of matching my high water mark on the water from last year - 175 days - and many  of those days at the end of last year were definitely hard earned as it was a FRIGID December 2024, so I decided not to have to do that again so late in the year! Props to David Sites for helping out with many a ride in December, 2024 after I had put my boat on the hard and encouraging me to make those 175 days.... 

Being on the Schooner Woodwind is such a treat - it was the absolutely perfect way to end this personal goal - being with Captain Jen and getting to the lighthouse to boot!

At this point, any more days on the water will be, as Molly Winans says, GRAVY.... :-)
