A spectacular sunset cruise this evening. I followed a tug up to the Chespaeake Bay Bridge and then it was simply right place/right time for some stunning sunset pics.

What a blast today! Got out with Wilbur in spicy weather to photograph the start of the Great Chesapeake Bay Schooner Race. I think it took us over an hour to motor back in very slowly, w/ impressive breeze + serious chop on the nose, but I had a ball!!

Taught ASS 101 three day course this week. Thoroughly enjoyabe, although rain/big breeze meant I taught a lot by sailing Back Creek, which is quite different from being out on Severn River!!

Taught ASA 101 sailing course this weekend, but today was a nor'easter w/ 23-38 knot winds. So, I hopped on our school tender with Ian to go up the Severn River for fun (+ got drenched!) 2 see what conditions were farther inland - totally sailable!

Unfortuantley, it's the getting on and off the school docks in a very angry sailing basin that made sailing prohibitive, but the tiny tender boat ride up the river for a good while was a blast!  :-)

Who doesn't love the Annapolis Sailboat Show???? I love not only attending and working it, but also spending time marveling at it from on the water, which I chose to do by going to and from the show by power boat. Fun!

I taught a private sailing lesson this moring and was able to pass a student who had worked hard to improve her skill levels. Her husband joined us (very helpful, as it was windy) but kindly left her to her own successful devices/achievement. :-)

Got out early for a boat ride on an overcast morning and was rewarded with watching/capturing a large container ship in the anchorage pulling anchor and heading up to Baltimore. Merchant marine work is ever ongoing/fascinating....
