  • ALGOMA VALUE and such an interesting/beautiful sky for just past 11am this morning!

  • A view out to the Bay at the mouth of West River - gorgeous sky today!
  • Looking back out the Rhode River - gorgeous!
  • "Home" for winterization... sigh....

So, I finally found, and had to take, a weather window to get the boat to the Marina for winter storage, but it's one of my least favorite days of the year.  It is particularly so this year as I have had such FUN participating here in the Century Club!  I don't need to be pushed to go boating, but this has raised it to a new level.  Due to this fun challenge, I have done a little more, seen a lot more, gotten out in trickier conditions than I might otherwise have gone for, and thoroughly enjoyed the journey!  But, it is isn't getting warmer or less windy - it was super choppy and windy today - and so it's time.  Thanks again to Spinsheet for this fun adventure and 2023 boating season - so hard to have it end (although I hope to get a few more days in in 2023 on other's boats)!  Here are my last pics from my boat for 2023!

By the way, I would have loved just one more susnet ride (weather has not cooperated recently for me), but the sky today was so interesting and colorful between 11am and noon when I was out, that I gladly took and appreciated it!  :-)

  • Heading out in the work boat to decorate TPL!
  • Here we go - she'll be dressed before long!
  • Santa decided to help the "elves...", as we were dubbed today....
  • One of many wreaths prepared and ready to hang.....
  • I will admit to being a happy camper doing this today!
  • A vista decorated by a wreath....
  • Taken from the boat as we prepared to leave
  • Admiring our handiwork from the work boat as we were casting off....
  • A job well done - she's dressed for the holidays!

I will admit to a few liberties in that some pics are taken from the lighthouse itself, but considering you get there only by boat, you are surrounded by water AND the lighthouse is a navigational aide in the water, thought it might be considered ok (?? - LOL)!
