After 2 days of rain and wind, the water was mirror-calm. Still humid and full of jellyfish, with the added bonus of nearly-dead lanternflies. Wonder if jellies eat them.

I'm way behind this year; my goal is to reach 100 days before we leave for some travels. Monday isn't normally my day to kayak, but the forecast for the coming days is looking grey and wet. So, to the water I go.
A beautiful day for a Heron ride to Stan & Joe's. Some jumbo crabs, hush puppies, West River oysters, etc. A perfect Sunday afternoon.
Crab Creek. Lots of vegetation in the water. Trees are sheddling leaves and limbs.
There's always a price to pay when you leave the dock at high tide and are just flying out. Expect an equal and opposite trip on the way back.
Crab Creek to Little Aberdeen Creek.
The weather is just delightful.
Small craft advisory today, so I stayed in the snot-filled creek.
We had grand plans to take Heron to Shaw Bay for the show. But the forecast was ugly. We took a morning "toddle" around the South River instead, and when we got to the mouth of the river, the chop confirmed that we made the right decision.
Finally got rain yesterday. Cool but humid today. Crab Creek to Church Creek.
4 day holiday cruise on the Bay. Friday night, a gorgeous sail from Annapolis to Reed Creek -- had wind the whole way there. Saturday, a motor to Rock Hall's North Point Marina -- and a lot of fun with friends, including closing out the evening with the Reagan Years (80s cover band) at Watermen's. Sunday sail to Gibson Island and a raft-up with friends. Monday, motor home. Weather glorious all weekend.
