15 May 23: Today we started our journey to visit the Erie Canal. Off the dock at 8:00AM for long run up the Chesapeake Bay to the C&D canal.

We brought on board our good friend Chris Harrington, a very experienced Sailor to help us navigate difficult areas such as the Delaware Bay, Jersey Shore and New York Harbor. We stopped at Annapolis for fuel and headed north.  We had a beautiful cruise day and arrived at Chesapeake City and Shafers Marina in the late afternoon.  Vey swift current and fixed dock with 4 ft tides!  High dock.  With low tide I walked off the fly bridge onto the dock. Ate dinner at the marina resteraunt. Great burgers.
