After retiring, I bought a house on Deep Creek off the Magothy River and moved in June 2019. When I read about the Century Club, I thought it would be a good goal to set for 2020 since I wanted to spend as much time on the water as possible. I am happy to report that I achieved the 100 days between April and November this year.
I logged 58 days on a sailboat, 31 days on a kayak, and 1 day on a dinghy. I also spent many more than the 10 days allowed for working on my sailboat boat, while it was docked at my house. I sailed mostly on my Sabre 402, Pleiades, on the Chesapeake Bay and logged more than 1150 miles. I paddled my Hurricane Sojourn 135 kayak for a total of 72 hours and ran the gas out of my outboard engine on my zodiac dinghy for more than an hour before putting it away for the winter.

April 22 -- moved my sailboat from Back Creek to Deep Creek after it was launched from winter storage
April 5 and 6 -- kayaked on Deep Creek, Magothy River, and Chesapeake Bay
MAY 2020 -- TOTAL 10 DAYS
May 10, 16, 25, 26, 27, 30, 31 -- day sailed on the Magothy River and Chesapeake Bay and took two overnight cruises -- one to the Chester River and the other to the Rhode and Wye Rivers
May 2, 15, 24 -- kayaked on Deep Creek, Magothy River, and Little Magothy River
JUNE 2020 -- TOTAL 17 DAYS
June 1, 7, 8, 9, 12, 13, 21, 24, 25, 26, 27 -- returned from May sailing cruise and took 3 other sailing cruises -- two to the Chester River, and one to the Rhode, Severn, and Wye Rivers, plus a day sail on the Chesapeake Bay
June 6 -- test sailed a Hobie Trimaran on the Severn River
June 3, 14, 20, and 30 -- kayaked on Deep Creek, Magothy River, Broad Creek, and Chesapeake Bay
June 16 -- kayaked on Little Silver Creek in NJ
JULY 2020 -- TOTAL 15 DAYS
July 2, 3, 4, 9, 14, 15, 16, 25, 26 -- took 3 sailing cruises -- one to the Rhode and Wye Rivers, one to the Chester River, and another to the Rhode River, plus a day sail on the Chesapeake Bay where we spent at least an hour observing two pods of dolphins swimming near the Baltimore Bell
July 12, 13, 18, 21, 28, 29 -- kayaked on the Magothy River and Chesapeake Bay, including under the Bay Bridge
AUGUST 2020 -- TOTAL 15 DAYS
August 8, 9, 10, 11, 20, 25, 26, 27, 28 -- took two sailing cruises -- one to the Chester, Magothy, and Rhode Rivers, and one to the Chester, Wye, and Rhode Rivers, plus a day sail
August 5, 17, 19, 21, 23, 30 -- kayaked around the Magothy River visiting Black Hole, Dobbins Island, and.Gibson Island, plus the Chesapeake Bay
SEPTEMBER 2020 -- TOTAL 17 DAYS
September 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16, 23, 25, 28 -- took an 11 day cruise to the Patuxent River, sailing and anchoring along the way in the Rhode, Little Choptank, Tred Avon, Choptank, Wye, and Chester Rivers. Day sailed in the Magothy and Severn Rivers, as well as the Chesapeake Bay.
September 26 and 30 -- kayaked in the Magothy River
OCTOBER 2020 -- TOTAL 4 DAYS
October 24 -- day sailed in the Chesapeake Bay
October 8, 22, 27 -- kayaked in Deep Creek and the Magothy River
NOVEMBER 2020 -- TOTAL 9 DAYS
November 7, 10, 20, 22 -- three day sails in the Chesapeake Bay and 1 day motoring to Back Creek to leave the boat to be winterized and hauled for the winter
November 5, 6, 21, 23 -- kayaked in Deep Creek and the Magothy River
November 12 -- motored around in my dinghy on Deep Creek
APRIL 22 -- NOVEMBER 22 -- TOTAL 10 (plus) DAYS
Spent more than the allowed ten days working on my sailboat, including cleaning inside and out; waxing top sides; troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various items; cleaning water tanks and refilling them; putting up and taking down sails; installing and taking down canvas; adjusting dock lines and bumpers; loading and unloading cushions, propane tanks, safety equipment, sailing gear, galley wares and provisions, and various other items and supplies.
