With every good sailing campaign, there is a person that spends all of their freetime, time off of work, and money supporting their partner, and the past two years I have been lucky to give that support! This trip back to France was to welcome Peter Gibbons-Neff in his arrival after 1200nm solo racing back from the Azores. His 12 day race home was plagues with light winds and no power on board. I was lucky enough to ride out on the rib to welcome him and tow him into port(no one is allowed to sail in and out of the port).
After a good night's sleep, we headed out to deliver the boat back to La Trinite sur-Mer. A 24 upwine sail in 15-28 knots, shows that we as a team handle things well together.
Upon our arrival, we hauled the boat and then spent a couple of days doing end of season boat work and packed up the boat for the winter.
Then came my end of season reward, a nice vacation in France and a few days in Paris, which of course included a river boat tour on the Seine!
