Not sure why we started out...was it just to get away from the dust and pollen?  Were we trying to chase the kids? Anyway, it turned into a surprisingly rewarding afternoon on the water.  A thunderstorm had threatened, and there seemed to be something like a funnel cloud, but it moved on. Steady, sufficient breeze for just the two of us. Af first, we were just going to motor out. Then, we decided to raise the main. Finally, we decided to hank on the jib. It's the kind of thing that makes you recall why you sail in the first place.

Saw 3 large, majestic dolphins between Greenbury Point and Horn Point. It almost felt like the world was thanking us for using sail power and not those crazy over-zealous power boats that came out.

As we were sailling back up the creek to our slip at a lazy speed, we even conversed with a power boat coming in at a fairly lazy speed (gentleman was fishing off the side while the lady steered), about how I could probably kayak faster. He also kayaks. It was good, a moment of relaxed joy.

May try to post a photo later...
