Prescott ON. A wonderful friendly municipal marina, tour of Fort Wellington (we love these forts). St Lawrence Shakespeare Festival - we caught the opening night performance of Twelfth Night.
We did plenty of small locks on the Erie and Oswego Canals, but these big St Lawrence Seaway locks are a bit different. Plus have to time it all with the freighters coming and going, who have rights over pleasure craft.
Fuel stop with the best prices at the Akwesasne Reservation after the Eisenhower Lock, where Bruce made friends with the kids playing in and around the water.
Enter Quebec at Valleyfield QC. No English spoken in this town! I guess we better get used to it since we'll be in QC for the next month or so.
Montreal style pizza rocks! Best pizza pretty much ever (sorry NYC and Chicago) at Gigi's in Pointe Claire QC.
Three days touring around Montreal from our base at the Montreal Yacht Club. Awesome fireworks display over the river in Montreal. Then off to Quebec City! Three days touring around Quebec City from our base in the Port of Quebec City Marina. Another awesome fireworks display here in Quebec City. The old town and the old port areas are wonderful. We we walked the perimeter of Old Quebec along the ramparts from Montmorency Park all the way around 5+ miles. Views, history, and thunderstorms.
Great downwind sailing a few of the days from Quebec City to the Saguenay. Some beautiful, remote anchorages.
