After a lovely Thursday at the Boat Show, we made our way to Baltimore on an easy reach. Spent the rainy Saturday snug in East Harbor marina. Then off on Sunday to Worton Creek. Mix of sailing and motoring. Then up into the Sassafras to Georgetown. Snagged a mooring. Then over to Middle River and an anchor in Sue Creek (in just over 5 feet of water - a bit dicey). Then back to the Magothy - bumped a little on the right hand side of the Hart Miller channel. We had a particularly fun sail into the mouth under high winds and tacking all the way. Ran hard aground off of Red 12. We were a bit too aggressive....Proud Mary tried to pull us off but not successful. We put the anchor out using the dinghy and waited for the tide to free us. Anchored near Mill Creek for our last night of the sailing week. Great sailing but the weather was quite cold this week which was sometimes uncomfortable. Next time: better clothing!
