Forcast was for no wind and we wanted to time our arrival at Lucaya for daylight so we left Spanish Wells around 10:30 AM and motored throughout the day toward Lucaya. Around dusk, saw a pod of pilot whales that were pretty neat. Continued motoring overnight and arrived off Lucaya at first light. Went in through Bell Channel and stopped at Grand Bahama Yacht Club to try to get a slip for a couple of days to wait out a frontal passage and top off fuel. Yes on the fuel but no on the slip. Current Government guidelines say no new arrivals and no going ashore. Reading the order, it was questionable whether we were even allowed to depart the Bahamas! We searched all around for a sheltered spot to anchor that wouldn't make our presence obvious to the RBDF guys to no avail. Several other boats had gotten there first! We ultimatly anchored just inside Bell Channel off Pelican Bay Resort and had no problems with law enforcement.
