We had spent the night on Bubbles on the 9th - used our new diesel heater for the first time and it was nice and cozy! It was cold, but I decided I wanted to sail, so the first mate went along, albeit reluctantly. Winds were out of the NE between 5 and 10 knots, Temps ranged from 46 when we left the slip to a high in the mid 50's. Barometer was 30.46 and it was cloudy to start - but the sun did come out and warm things up a bit. The first mate had the helm most of the time (we switched as we tacked back up Langford Creek to get back to the marina) while I worked the sheets and traveler. Managed to get in about 3 hours of sailing.... although the first mate expressed her displeasure a number of times about the temperature! Usually dont go out until it is at least 50, but didn't want to waste the day!
