Tutored two friends today so they could become SCOW skippers. We practiced reefing, temporary tie-down, crew overboard, and docking. They both did very well, and they are on the brink of completing their checkride.
Really fun day of sailing. I even got to sail the boat to practice crew overboard procedures and sailing backwards to the dock with an onshore wind. We went out for sushi afterwards and the guys covered my dinner. Zento Japanese Restaurant in Alexandria has an 18-piece sushi combination for only $18.50. What a deal! This was my 2nd dinner, and I'm not ashamed.
