Weekend trip to Back Creek

Sailed up to Back Creek with Modus Vivendi and Virginia Breeze on Saturday, July 25, 2020 (actually motored).  Nice day but no wind, so had to use the motor all the way north.  Spent a nice afternoon and evening on anchor.  

Left on Sunday with light wind.  We motored out of Back Creek, but sailed part way down the east side of Poquoson Flats.  I gave up on the wind, but when we reached Back River entrance, the wind picked up again.  We were tacking toward the CCBT but were rewarded with continual lifters.  By the time we reached Thimble Shoal Channel, we were able to point directly to Little Creek, our home port, because the wind had clocked so far west.  We had a beautiful sail.
