Normally I don't kayak when there are still traces of snow on the ground, but with weather in the high 50's, I just had to. Took a sunset ride on smooth water in Valentine Creek, which luckily was in the lee of the 13-15 mph winds that were coming from the South. My arms and shoulders were letting me know that it had been seven weeks since I'd been on a kayak; hopefully winter is about to release her icy grip and I'll soon be able to kayak every day.
