The Chesapeake Area Professional Captains Assocaition (CAPCA) is composed of Coast Guard-licensed captains operating primarily on the Chesapeake Bay and East Coast of the United States. In addition to offering services that allow individuals to hire a captain to run their vessel, CAPCA provides classes for people to become Coast Guard-certified captains. CAPCA also provides a number of maritime-related classes open to the public, from offshore safety and survival to basic marine electricity.
