West River Sailing Club was founded in 1930, and comprises members passionate about sailing the Chesapeake. Members are involved in racing, cruising, and preserving the Bay that they love. Sailors who are enthusiastic about getting out on the water are welcome to join, even if they have little or no water experience. To accommodate new sailors and their families, the club offers adult and junior sailing classes. Club members participate in one-design races throughout the year on the club fleet.
