New SpinSheet Trophy at Annapolis Labor Day Regatta

 Need some younger crew ?

If you race with younger crew, or need incentive to grab a young person and teach him or her how to crew, here it is... the new SpinSheet Junior Sailing Trophy at the Annapolis Labor Day Regatta, September 5-6.

The requirements:    

1. Junior crew must be under 18 years of age on the first day of the regatta.
2. Crew minimums: at least one junior crewmember on boats that are 25 feet (length overall) or less... at least two junior crewmembers on boats that are greater than 25 feet (length overall) overall.
3. Each Junior crewmember must actively participate in sailing the boat (act as helmsman, sail trimmer, foredeck, tactics, etc.).

AWARD CRITERIA 
1. Awarded to the boat with the highest overall finish, competing in any class that races both Saturday and Sunday.
2. In the event of a tie, the tiebreakers, in order of application, shall be: the boat with the highest finish position in any race or the boat with the youngest average age of all Junior competitors.
