1. The history of Thomas Point Lighthouse with a focus on the harsh January of 1877 which saw the new lighthouse abandoned and nearly lost in major ice floes

2.  A surprise visit to Annapolis from British battleship King George V and President Roosevelt in January 1941.

Capt. Dave Gendell

Dave says, "This presentation takes place in the middle of winter, and I will focus on two mid-winter, cold weather stories that took place at Annapolis. I have always thought both of these stories are under-appreciated, and I am very pleased to be able to bring them to Fawcetts."

As always, Dave has plenty of images, maps, and photos to illustrate the stories... and if you know Dave, you know he is an engaging, knowledgable, and fun speaker!

Head over to Caliente next door afterwards for drink specials.
