Big Puff in Three... Two...

When you drive down by the docks this weekend, don't expect to see any race boats in their slips. That's because the next two weekends are some of the busiest for Bay sailors. What's coming down the pipe?

Storm Trysail Club Annapolis Fall Regatta

The STC and co-host EYC are putting on one of the best regattas of the fall racing season, and some heavyweights are definitely coming into town. Nine C&C 30 One Designs will be on the water, as well as big J/boats, and the best of the Chesapeake Racer Cruiser Assoc. fleet. The regatta will be scored using ORC, IRC, and CRCA.

Baltimore Harbor Cup

Holy crap, how is it Harbor Cup already? A total of 66 boats are registered for the regatta, with everything from big boats (Helloooooo, Donnybrook!) to performance cruisers, look for the best of the Northern Bay for this annual favorite.

J/Wow

On the J/boat front, both the J/70 Fall Brawl and the J/24 East Coast Championships are happening in Annapolis. Currently we have 30 J/70s and 14 J/24s coming to town.

Frostbiting Before the Frost Hits

Down in the Southern Bay, they're calling sailing in mid-60 degree weather "frostbiting." The season starts up on Sunday at the Hampton YC, open to PHRF boats. The series is open to all, just remember to wear your lifie if you don't have life lines. For info, contact Brian Deibler at (757) 715-8977.

USODA Atlantic Coasts

At Annapolis YC, they're going to be busy with 229 young sailors showing up to race Optis for the 2015 USODA Atlantic Coast Championship. If you're going to be out in and around Annapolis Harbor this weekend, remember to look carefully for the smaller skippers.
