Quantum Key West Race Week: Day Two Domination

The awards ceremony on Tuesday night brought some of the Bay's best sailors out to represent. In the J/70 class, the big news was Jim Allsopp's Moxie, who snagged two bullets and went home with first place in the professional division. We love seeing these guys onstage.

Kathy Parks let out a a surprised yet triumphant shout when she heard her name called in the Corinthian division: Sundog took home a trophy for 3rd place.

Bill Sweetser has done enough awards ceremonies for one lifetime, so he was instead enjoying a crew dinner when Ken Legler announced his boat's name in the PHRF class. Another crewmember obliged him and accepted the trophy for him.

And the Boat of the Day was Marc Glimcher's Catapult, with its crew of rowdy Irish handsome devils. Could not be given to a better boat.

Today's forecast calls for some great sailing, with winds at 12-17 out of the NNW. We'll have a full report this afternoon, with all the details on the Bay boats you know and love. Til then,
