Racing Roundup: Constellation Cup Results and Photos

There was a lot of rain and very little wind. But that doesn't ever stop the party, does it?

The USS Constellation Cup presented by the Historic Ships in Baltimore was run over the weekend, with a special appearance: the schooner Lady Maryland racing in her own division. Not many regattas have this kind of participation, and we wholly encourage more of it. Elsewhere on the water, the USS Zumwalt is in town, waiting for her commissioning this weekend.

The lack of wind made it difficult for a few boats to finish in both the fleet and pursuit classes. But for the most part, everybody got back to the docks by 3:30 in the afternoon, leaving just enough time to get cleaned up and head over to the USS Constellation, where the party was off the charts.

Pictures are by our incomparable Baltimore photographers Mary Lees Gunther and Adam Podbielski. Congrats to everyone who took part in this fun race!
