Racing Roundup: May 14-15, 2016

What an incredible weekend to be out on the Chesapeake Bay!

First up, the first annual Bay Bridge Paddle SUP Race brought 400 paddlers from Sandy Point State Park across the Bay, using the spans as their guide. The weather completely cooperated and they had the smoothest crossing they would have all week long. Thanks to all the state and federal agencies who coordinated with race organizers to make this such a great, fun experience.

They were the 2015 world champions, but definitely had some competition from the other 38 teams who showed up to race. To check out some videos from the race course, check out the Facebook page here.
