An evening of racing with the same new sailors from last week. We tried for first with 2+2, heading into next week's races strong!

I made a couple of new friends today - it's easy to forge a bond sailing together on a blustery day. We went up the river, docking and gybing all the way, and practiced docking when we got back. Now it's time for oysters and a drink!
Back and forth, tacks and jibes for a couple of hours. The wind started at a nice 7kt and steadily grew to 12-15kt - perfect for practice. Ended with a few touch and go's at the dock. Gray skies but only a drop or two of rain.
Easy sail most of the way to the Bay bridge, then a challenging 3 hour trip back, with winds that shifted 90 degrees at a moment's notice, and went from 5 to 15 knots just as quick. Great practice conditions, trying to set what's coming and adjust quickly.
Absolutely perfect conditions for an introductory hour of sailing.
Fun day in the water learning advanced trim and how to fly a spinnaker
To beautiful to actually practice, just sailed almost too the bay bridge and back.
Great sailing on a gorgeous evening!
