  • So close! As it is we were 20 minutes late back to dock.

Went out in 13 gusting 20 with the wife and the oldest.  Tried to make it to the bridge but had to turn around.  Very cool to see the Melges fleet racing out by Greenbury Point.

Distance race around government marks.  The waypoints I programmed into iNavx came in very handy!  Will and Rosellyn we're wonderful crewmates.

Took the yellow knockabout almost to the bridge... but with instead winds and not enough time, we headed back for a long downwind sail back home, taking another an hour to cover 2.5nm.

I finally paid for iNavx, though, and spent much of that downwind leg programming waypoints in it.

Took some high schoolers out as part of a field trip.  Very cool group of kids, they were fearless!

Barely had time to do a couple of practice tacks before we saw lightning in the eastern shore.  Still, it was nice to get in the water with G and grab a burger at Ebb Tide Dark Horse

  • Days are getting longer!
  • The fearless crew

I barely did anything, my boat mates got us a well earned 2nd by exercising patience at the last tack.

  • The human whisker pole

I missed a few Monday and Sunday nights while I let my wrists rest up from a flaring carpal tunnel.  Ran a good few races trimming sails the whole time, and wiring this the next day I'm happy to say my wrists feel great.  I'm going to take that as a green light to look for a race boat who needs a crew!
