Mike and I spent the day sailing around the chesapeake, the from hartge to annapolis and back. Beautiful day, great breeze,. We traveled up and down in record time. Finally got to drive this boat a bunch, i think i understand what he does during races better. We'll see if it helps, but either way it was a great time!

A gorgeous evening with persistent oscillation and big pressure variations. I got seduced by the nice breeze during the prestart and really leveraged out for a foiling start, then the wind died and we were last past the line. Discipline with driving, weight management, and tacking on the shifts got us into a battle for first, by the half way point though, which we lost because I was excited and forgot to shift into cover mode.
So many lessons, so much fun. No pics, unfortunately - too busy trying to make up for that terrible start, I forgot!

A rainy Monday night in a stiff breeze. We had a great start, but we gambled on leaving in our reef. Though it worked well for us on the beach, the folks who shook it out did much better on the reaches and runs. We got soaked and had a blast!

Spent the afternoon on Chinook, bearing opening and then flying the kite back down. Thanks to Steve, G, and Jamey for a great time!
Then it was Sunday Night Races at ANSS and a long distance race to the Bay Bridge. Annie and Rebecca were awesome crew mates on Cumulus. We started surfing some waves and Annie played Beach Boys for us. Kokomo FTW!

What an amazing day. Thanks to the amazing crew! Yigit for stepping up and doing spin even though it had been so long. Peter, his crazy focus while driving and trimming. Steve for noticing details, asking questions, and being Johnny on the spot wherever help was needed... Which was pretty much everywhere!
Think it's safe to say we all learned a ton, and had great fun doing it.
The race itself was pretty low breeze most of the time. We had to get a tow out to the racecourse, and then a toe back to the school. Racing was a matter of chasing pressure and connecting the dots. We were able to fly the Spinnaker on the first leg, and then again towards the end for a Spinnaker finish on the shortened course.
