Had a pleasant afternoon sail on Charlotte Harbor to Locust Point. Weather was beautiful with a light wind from the north shifting to the west. An unusually large number of boats were anchored in Sunset Lagoon today.

A beautiful boat with a dovetail stern
Sailing a beam reach under mostly cloudy skies
Went for an afternoon sail on Charlotte Harbor. Skies ranged from partly cloudy to overcast. The water was rather choppy due to the breezy north wind with gusts to 20 knots so I saw very few boats out on Charlotte Harbor today. I did see a beautiful power boat with a dovetail stern on one of the canals that reminded me of similar boats I have seen on the Chesapeake Bay.

Had a very nice sail to Tippecanoe Bay on the Myakka River. Skies started as overcast but cleared as the day progressed with an east-northeast wind in the 7 to 10 knot range with some higher gusts.

Sailed across Charlotte Harbor in breezy conditions with lots of sunshine, choppy waves and much spray. Few power boats out today and my boat was the only sailboat under 32 feet that I saw sailing today.
