I'll never get too many sunrise cruises under my belt. Today I also trolled around some freighters at anchor out on the Bay with the rising glow as their backdrop.

Now that my port stern cleat has been repaired I can dock the center console bow out as originally preferred. This required repositioning/reversing of the heavy foam fenders that match up with the bow and stern rub rails. Of course nothing is easy and one recalcitrant screw had to be hacksawed off. To cool down I took the 'Fish up the choppy Severn River to Clement Ck and back.
We took the visiting Erickson in-laws and S&K to lunch at the Dock House Restaurant in Kent Narrows. We somehow managed to miss or dodge the downpour that hit Annapolis while we were gone, not to mention the deluge that caused flooding in the DMV. Only got a few refreshing sprinkles on the way around Love Point and back home to Eastport. Highly recommend Dock House for great views, excellent sirloin/brisket burgers, and fresh crushes.
Finally got a semi-decent sunrise forecast so I headed out with 1st Mate Ari. Didn't amount to much but there's never a bad morning on the water.
Finally wrapped up the rebuild and reinstall of the port stern pull up cleat. Turned out great but the process of removal and reinstall was all done by feel with a long socket extension and not something I want to repeat. Celebrated by cruising over to Mill Creek and then to The Beacon for lunch.
Cleaned mounting location after removal of a pull up cleat that shook off some of its fasteners internally. Received new bolts and rebuilt the cleat during the day and will reinstall the whole fresh assembly in the morning. Required a few hacks and workarounds as the fasteners are in a blind spot that can only be reached by a long extension and deep socket.
Sunrise was a bust because of cloud cover but the water was as peaceful as ever.
Took the 'Fish to the end of Back Creek then to Chesapeake Harbor for a morning coffee run. On the way out of CH I saw a bald eagle fly off from his perch on the channel marker. Flood watch in effect for Annapolis later today.
