A quiet 18 mile run on a calm day. Had to move our slip position in Belhaven because the finger pier was too short in the first spot.

Waited several days for smooth weather and was rewarded with a smooth run.

Up early for potential run to Oriental, NC but forecast for Neruse River well beyond our No-Go criteria. Left the slip and ran to the pump out dock and back instead, a short distance for all the work of getting underway and towing up again but delighted to have an empty holding tank.

An interesting run. Up very early and underway quickly to reach a bridge being repaired that could only open from 7-8 am, 12-1 pm, or 4-5 pm. Got it at 7:40 am.

Avoided ( but could hear) offshore Marine live fire exercise by staying on ICW. Listened to TSV Vindicator work hard to clear traffic from hot box. When the voice on the radio gets intense and says "This is the gray warship immediately front of you. You are standing into DANGER. Turn to port immediately", you would think more people would listen.

also monitored several Pan-Pan calls offshore but were too far away to respond.

wind and current up when we arrived at Beaufort. Discovered we could fuel at our slip but pump out was blocked. Need a pump out badly.

an interesting day.

A quiet run. Anchored in Mile Hammock Bay, part of Camp LeJune that abuts the ICW. A great and secure (in many senses) spot. Did not go ashore.

We were  initially disappointed that the marinas directly on the ICW were full but we were very happy with this marina.  Took Mott's channel without issues.

A good run and a new state! We crossed the border into North Carolina shortly after leaving Myrtle Beach. The topography changed also. 'Low Country' is giving way to hills, and Spanish moss on trees has suddenly disappeared. We do still see signs warning of alligators, but I don't think for much longer.

A careful cruise with a sharp eye on the weather and various navigational hazards, all successfully negotiated. Extremely Beautiful stretch of river/ICW, at least until civilization re-appeared at Myrtle Beach.

when we got to our destination after a run without traffic, we encountered a narrow tight channel with tricky currents, a large boat coming out, another boat that wanted to come in, a pontoon boat, and the local tiki barge, all in 100 yards of water. It's like that sometimes!
