Rowed out to the mooring to drop off supplies and do a bit of work.
Century Club: Harry Jennings
Easy sail, calm water, about 6 knots of wind from the east, clocking to NE.
Orientation day on Non Sea Quitter.
Stong winds -- 12-18knots and gusting well over 20 and we went up Craighill Channel to look at Ever Forward. Coming back we kept full sail up and got knocked around under the bridge, but with Jules on the tiller, me on the mainsheet and Nick on the jib sheet, we manipulated controls to keep from getting knocked down. Great day of sailing with a lot of it at or near hull speed. 5 1/2 hours and 22 nm covered.
Rowed out to Imidiwan and did a few hours of cleaning
Odd day -- two extended becalmed periods, bracketed by some of the best sailing we've ever had: consistent 8-12 knot winds and flat sea state.
20 miles
Getting three sails in during February is an accomplishment I think. Just noodling around in the cold for 15nm or so.
10 nm in 2.5 hours out of Whitehall Bay on Imidiwan. First time we sailed with ice on the hull (air temp 35, water temp 38).
Low low tide and we sailed out into tide and waves -- stalling the boat in tacks.
Calm seas but 7-10 kt when we left, though winds died near Baltimore Light and reversed (!!!)
Busted a few cars on the mainsail so will repair before next sail. ~15nm
