wind 10-15kts from NE. Choppy. Sunny and cool. Much warmer on land, but good sailing on the York.
The boat has been hauled for bottom work. I spent yesterday working on rebedding deck hardware. More of the same for today.
Almost finished rebedding of some deck hardware. Should finish tomorrow. There are several small areas of chipped deck paint. I sanded, cleaned and put on primer coat. There is a depression in one of these that needs to be filled before painting.
Hopefully finish by the weekend. Meanwhile boatyard crew working on the bottom- few blisters and bottom paint
Temp was mid fifties but bright sunshine and gentle breeze made it feel like Spring.
Getting hauled tomorrow for bottom painting. Hope to be back in the water by the weekend
sailed a couple of hours on the York today. Wind variable and gusty with occasional spray, but I was dressed for it.
Chilly but nice breeze on the York today. Solo as usual. Sailed into the harbor and dropped the main as I turned into slip.
5 Coast Guard training boats out today. Especially in the winter, it always gives me a sense of security when they are out which is almost every day.
Bright sunshine, breeze ~10-12 kts, temp mid to upper 50's. Another great sailing day on the York River.
I am very excited about my new Torqeedo outboard motor. It is quiet, powerful and no more gasoline, oil, fuel treatments, or maintenance. I bought the motor at West Marine. Had the 65 year old mercury in the car. Got talking with another customer who ended up buying the mercury right then and there.
