Late afternoon SUP. Little Magothy Inlet marks, tour of LM, back to Inlet marks and beach.
Century Club: Keith Chapman
Another late afternoon paddle in insanely foggy and calm conditions. Little Magothy tour and then up towards Persimmon Pt.
Afternoon SUP with Greg. Insanely foggy and calm. Little Magothy tour, saw Snakehead near surface - drifted over it as it went to the bottom, could see it because the water is clear. Poked it with my paddle and it bumped Greg's board as it took off on its escape path.
Singlehanded sunset/moonruse sail on Tri-Pawed. Breeze was dead in Magothy so headed out into the Bay. Elected to turn around at shipping channel as ships coming from both directions and not confident of wind/speed to stay out of their way. Headed back into Magothy and caught some dying zephyrs for a nice bit of ghosting up the river. Headed for home under the moonlight. Didn't want for it to end...
Took a sunset ride on Greg's Outrage before helping him pull it and get his trailer set up.
Morning SUP before work. School out means I can paddle before work if the weather cooperates. First set inlet marks to Little Magothy tour. Wind built, so did a little upwind/downwind before coming to beach.
Beautiful Fall sail on Tri-Pawed with Jeremy, Abby, and Greg. First time on an F-27 for Jeremy and Abby! Sailed up north on the Bay past the mouth of the Patapsco and back. Conditions varied, changing directions often with the wind dropping out completely for a bit. Filled in nicely for great close-winded ride back to the Little Magothy. Saw the other Triple Threat (F-31 from Middle River), had a quick chat. May have convinced Jeremy and Abby to join the Dark Side of sailing...
Maintenance day on Tri-Pawed. Checked out outboard, replaced lines, general clean up.
Sunset SUP. Little Magothy Inlet marks, to LM tour, back to Inlet marks and beach.
Went to take the Whaler out of the temporary slip and put her on the trailer. But the evening was beautiful so first took another sunset cruise around the Magothy taking in the Fall colors.
