We took a friend for an evening run down the Severn on the fast boat. The temperature was perfect and the humidity was low. Great conditions for catching up.

My wife and were out on the fast boat near Mill Creek when hunger lead to a stop for some seafood on the water.

Later in the day, the baby oysters were taken and placed at a reef just south  of 50 on the Severn.

I used the fast boat to move my old sailboat to a dock on the same river. The new owner is happy to not have to dinghy out to my mooring ball.

Duct tape is awesome. A slightly leaky canoe was temporarily repaired with duct tape and tested after a neighborhood dock dedication. Next step, silicone.

A peaceful, quick paddle on my fast kayak ended poorly when I beached without retracting the skeg. This resulted in a bent cable that gave a permanent half skeg problem that took an hour to fix the next day.

In order to get the new rubber bumpers attached to the pilings, it was necessary to get in a kayak to reach the bottom section just above the waterline at low tide.

Four of us went down the Severn River on Sea Bear to try some fishing despite the weather. Dark skies aft came upon us quickly with a shower of hail and a massive decrease in visibility and rudder control. Thankful for a cabin to retreat to, the weather soon passed and we cast lines in hopes of a bite. Coast Guard announcements of a vague boater distress call at the mouth of the Severn put us in search mode.  We never spotted any boater in distress nor did we catch any fish, but everyone had a great adventure.

Everyone can use extra help at the ramp. After launching my neighbor's 13' whaler, we enjoyed calm water for a fun zip on the Severn.  An extreme low tide made climbing up on the dock a bit of a challenge.

I took my small fiberglass canoe from the community dock to my sailboat on a mooring ball to check things out. The canoe is short with little freeboard which made boarding a little tricky - especially with the water temperature. The boat on the ball has done well through the winter. A short paddle back and another day on the water chalked up.

While clearing a trail to our community dock, I moved an old aluminum canoe. Finding it to be intact, I got a paddle and life jacket and put her in the water. After a few minutes of paddling near shore I noticed a trickle coming from the bow. Good sense caused me to reverse course and return to dock. On shore I found a screw that wasn't an original that I figured was the source of the leak. A little sealant should render her sea worthy.
