For the first time since moving to Eastport we were able to get our paddleboards out on the water. We used our cool new cart to walk them down to the kayak launch in our community. It was a beautiful evening for a paddle on Back Creek!

There wasn't any wind when we arrived and the club but around 6:15 the breeze filled in and we quickly rigged to get in some TESOD racing. It was a light evening but fun racing and great to get out on the water! To top it off we had a fabulous Annapolis sunset. Just another summer Tuesday in Annapolis!
We brought our Buccaneer 18, Spanish Mackerel, to SSA to race AYC's Two Bridge Fiasco. We rigged her on Saturday afternoon and took a leisurely practice/cocktail sail around the Severn River. Sunday started too blustery and choppy for our little Spanish so we skipped the race ans opted to explore the creeks under sail. Later when the breeze laid down we threw in a few practice gybes. Maybe next year! Still a fun weekend on the water.
I finally managed to get a Wednesday evening off work and out on J/105 Blizzard to find a bunch of discouraged Wednesday night racers with no breeze. Although the racing was called off there was just enough breeze for a slow practice sail on a hot evening.
Another fun Tuesday night of sailing at SSA. The breeze was up and down but the comradarie was awesome as always and the sunset was amazing!
We made our first attempt at fishing for snakehead. Sadly we failed but we did catch a few spot bottom fishing on the Paxtuent River in the afternoon
.
We made an attempt to find the Spanish Mackerel in the bay just south of the Patuxent River. We found lots of big waves breaking over the bow anc breeze but no fish. It would have been a much better day for sailing!
A beautiful night on the water and a beautiful smokey sunset in Annapolis!
A great windy weekend of racing at SSA!
