Another near perfect afternoon of sailing. This time east on the Potomac River to the entrance of Popes Creek, birthplace of George Washington.

Near perfect day for a sail both weather wise and wind. Sailed out to the Potomac and past the Colonial Beach Town pier by a mile or so. I was out approximately 4 hours and covered 12 miles plus.
Went out about 4:30 for an afternoon sail. Not much wind but I did make past DM 6 but short of DM4. Still had fun and another day on the water.
Overcast day with mixed wind but still a fun day to be out on the water. Sailed out to Mattox Creek DM1 and back.
Morning sail around Mattox Creek.
Karen and I kayaked to the sunken sailboat in hopes of salvaging some of the fittings. Unfortunately, the boat had been abandoned too long and I was only able to loosen one fitting and managed to salvage the backstay shackle. Oh well, I got a shackle and a day on the water out of it.
Nice afternoon sail on Mattox Creek.
Karen went kayaking, I went paddleboarding mid-morning on Mattox Creek.
Strong breeze from the west pushed me quickly out to the Potomac. I felt safe and invigorated much like aggressively skiing a black diamond back when I was young.
