Afternoon sail around Mattox Creek with Karen.
Century Club: AJ Batcheller
I couldn’t resist going out for an hour or so sail on this near perfect autumn afternoon. Temperatures in the 70’s with a 5-mph wind.
Pretty much a perfect afternoon sail out to the Potmac to Colonial Beach and back.
Nice sail around Mattox Creek.
Perfect day for a mid-October sail to the almost Monroe Bay. Chatted a bit with another sailor out today, Ron, owner of Second Wind.
Pontoon boat across the Potomac to Cobb Island. One of the best outings of the season for several reasons. Reason # 1, Karen’s 100th day on the water! Rason # 2, we took our bikes along with us, so we got to ride on I believe every street on Cobb Island. Reason # 3, I had some terrific friend oysters at Captain Johns.
Kayaked with Karen across Mattox Creek and up a riparian area that we were told about. Because it was low tide we didn’t get very far. We will have to go back when the tide is high. After seeing Big Foot, we decided to get out of there and paddled to the sunken sailboat then back home.
Light wind but a beautiful day for a short sail on Mattox Creek.
Short pontoon boat ride around Mattox Creek.
Nice, afternoon 2+ hour sail around Mattox Creek.
