It had been 72 hours wince we got off tthe boat in Newport, and I needed a fix, so went kayaking. It was sweltering at home, and once on the water, ten degrees cooler with the breeze. Always my "yoga" practice and therapy, my WATERDOG therapy!
Spending time with good friends on their beautiful Jeanneau 49 for the fourth is pretty special. Everyone needs to experience Bristol for the fourth, the most patriotic town in America with the longest and oldest parade. Covid did not rain on the parade this year as it was over 3 hours! Fireworks were all around simultaneously and it was a wonderful Fourth of July! We happened to hoook up with other Sailing Club of the Chesapeake friends and celebrated with 12 on board Gallivant owned by John Murray and Jill Hansen. While it was a gray and rainy week, and ended with Elsa pending, we had a blast, a wonderful trip on a beautiful boat!
