Went out on a quick ride with Ovlia, her babysitter, and Ellie. Fun run to the 50 bridge.
Century Club: J.C. Johns
Ellie, Jess, and I took a trip to Weems creek. Had a wonderful sunset and moon rise. Had some earlier issues with running lights, so got snap on bow and stern LED lights and they worked great. Smooth water and nice ride.
Jess and I took a quick trip out to the Severn river to see the sunset. Beautiful smooth ride on the river.
Spent about 7 hours on boat today. Got some pull traps and caught some crabs in the morning with the family from the boat. Got about 7 keepers. Then we went to Ego Alley and got crepes. Later in day we meet up with Benson's at Round Bay an floated in the Severn for a few hours. Very nice day and good Father's Day.
While kids fished from pier, I went for a quick spin on the kyak in Little Cove. Nice night and the kids caught a few fish.
Last day of school for the girls and it was a 1/2 day. We were supposed to meet up with Benson's to go fishing, but they were delayed. So, Ellie and I went out alone. We got someblood worms (first time getting those) and headed to Weems creek. We caught about a dozen perch in 30 minutes, had a fun time.
Jess and I went out for a quick 45 minutes Whaler ride to Cool Spring Creek. Beautiful day and just turned off the engine and drifted for a while.
We help host a graduation party down at the beach for Addie and the local 8th graders going into high school. Beautiful night and took the kayak out for a quick paddle.
Hanging at the beach with some friends tonight. Went for a quick paddle with Ellie (she paddled the whole time) right at sunset. Very nice night with the family.
Meet up with the Spagues on their boat, who had the Shawbows. The weather looked like it might rain so we stayed close to Chase Creek, but the weather held. After they left, the whole family (Addie, Sam, Ellie, Jess and me) all went for a swim off the boat, even though it was a little cold.
Went on a quick Whaler trip from Chase Creek over to the Pines with the family to celebrate Ivan's high school graduation. Went back dark through the creek, and pretty night.
Headed up to Yantz Creek with the Spragues and beach the boats on the sandbar. Fun time, first time meeting up wiht friends this summer.
Had a quick ride out to Chase Creek with the kids. Round Andy's sailboat.
Took Whaler down to City Dock with Ellie for the first time this season. Got some creapes for breakfast. Has a little delay and had to wait for enterance into Severn River, as the USCG had it blocked off. I believe VP Harris was speaking at the Acadmey. Around 9:30am they released us and we headed back home.
While the kids were at a friends birthday party at our community beach, I took a really quick spin on the kayak (would not hae gone out if was not trying to get to 100 days on water this year, so I guess this incentive is working to get me out more.).
Went out for a kayak ride on Winhester Beach to watch the Blue Angles.
The Severn River is warm enough to go swimming (for kids). Took the kids and a couple of their friends on the whaler and they jumped in the water when anchored Luce Creek. Looking forward to fun summer
Had some issues with the trim in the morning, and could not take it down to City Dock to pick up breakfast like planned. But, added some ATF and got the trim on engine working. So took boat for spin around Round Bay in afternoon.
Took Whaler out for quick trip to enjoy the sunset with the family.
Went down to Ft Lauderdale for nieces graduation. Day after graduation, when out on my sister's Sea Ray. Storm came rolling in, so headed back to the pier after about an hour of puttering along the canals.
Took my sunfish out for the first time this year. Fixed up tiller/rudder during winter, and the varnish looks great. Wind was blowing 20+ when took it out today and had a blast.
Today I put our little Whaler SL 16 into the water. Took a quick spin around the Severn River and docked it in our community marina.
Went out for another day with my family and sister on her 24' Sundancer. Cruised through the canals of Ft. Laurderdale and out to the intercoastal. Beach boat on sandbar and enjoyed a relaxing time.

Did a lot of prep this year to get the boats ready this year for the season, and the kids helps a bunch. For the sunfish, put on a new cam cleat and re-varnished the tiller/rudder (Ellie did a good job sanding). For the Whaler, put on bottom paint, worked on the electrical some, meant to put on a depth finder (but failed to find time to do it), and cleaned up a lot of stuff on the boat. Looking forward to a fun season on the water.
